Sir Winston Churchill Public Speaking Competition at Blenheim Palace

On Tuesday, 13th March a team of Ms competed for the first time in The Sir Winston Churchill Public Speaking Competition at Blenheim Palace.  Speaking on their chosen subject, Churchill's oratory, the speakers - Friedrich, Jos and Rory supported by researchers Miles, Rory and Victor - impressed the judges with their research, content and delivery.  In the summing up, renowned historian Andrew Roberts and Lady Henrietta commended the team for focusing on one of Churchill's lesser known speeches and his influential essay 'The Scaffolding of Rhetoric'.  They liked the way that the team demonstrated that Churchill learnt from failure to become one of the world's greatest orators
