2nd Wye Trip (30th June - 1st July)

The other half of the Ls year group had their chance to visit the River Wye on Thur/Fri this week, and this time they had to overcome a few additional challenges. Firstly the river was too high to be safe for canoeing after all the recent rain, so we switched to the local canal for the first afternoon, where - as the photos below show - the boys had a great time, albeit rather wet!  The next challenge was to find another campsite, as recent weather rendered the minibus literally 'stuck in the mud' trying to access it, but with the help of the local farmer's tractor our transport was soon back on the road. In the end we resorted to our reserve campsite which proved much more suitable, and where the boys enjoyed a good night's sleep - albeit in the rain!
