On Friday, 13 May, M2 visited Stratford on Avon to celebrate 400 years since Shakespeare's death. We first went to an exclusive showing of the film 'Bill', which is a comedy produced by the team from Horrible Histories about Shakespeare's Lost Years. The film was followed by an entertaining Q & A with Tony Bracewell, the producer.
After a picnic lunch surrounded by the beautiful timbered buildings of Stratford, we visited Shakespeare's Birthplace and we were given a guided tour through the bedrooms, kitchen, glove workshop and finished with a game of dice and skittles in the Swan. Finally, we were given an exclusive talk entitled 'Brush Up Your Shakespeare' and the boys certainly impressed the lecturer with their knowledge.
It was a great day out in which the boys discovered so much more about the greatest ever Briton.
